#FOMO | r e n e w

BarnacleHello friends!  Heart and soul overflow this morning!  My Trotter Tribe is fresh off the glory of Kanakuk Family Kamp and living in the after glow. Every year is life changing, but this year in particular seemed to sow deeper seeds than I can describe...it was truly a most precious week. This is our second year to go to family Kamp but, Toby {My Coach Man} and I have a sweet history with Kanakuk.  Quick background :: I worked three summers in college at K-1 and Toby worked three summers at K-West as a counselor and at K-2 as a Dock Daddy.  Our oldest son, Cade, went as a Kamper {and yes I know I am spelling camp with a K :)} at K-1 this year and had an absolute BLAST.  Sharing this with our kiddos is a crazy sweet blessing.  We have basically spent our entire summer with Kamp family and feel so full to the brim with Joy, Vision, and Connection with Jesus, each other and precious friends we may very well burst wide open. We feel renewed in every way.SEA ya laterRight as we entered the gates of K-Kauai our study launched here....I hope so much you are taking part in our #FOMO devotional series!  For those that might not know we are doing a three part devotional video series chatting about FOMO aka : Fear Of Missing Out......which as I have said in our first two devo vids is merely the gateway drug to FEAR.  Fear is the culprit of FOMO and the enemy of our souls is at the helm attempting to drive us further into comparison, insecurity, self doubt, disrupted peace and agitated goals. That rascal the enemy is nothing but a cheap thief!God wants to grant us Life with a renewed mind, a refreshed news feed about ourselves and be able to recall quickly all His miraculous promises in and through our lives. We are breaking free of the chains of #FOMO in this little study.Today let's start with R E N E W. I have said so many times out loud when I feel thick in the grime of FOMO, "Lord renew my mind".  The battlefield is in our thought life.  Keeping the activity of my mind geared towards Jesus is everything. This is not some sort of self help ideas, this is life saving. When I feel assaulted by comparison and paralyzed from spiritual movement the only thing that will motivate me towards renewed thoughts is the honey of God's Word read, spoken out loud and wall papered on my mind.Today let's allow these scriptures to jump start our minds towards renewal. I would LOVE to see the comments filled with more scriptures YOU use to motivate renewed energy in Jesus.

R E N E W

"Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me."

"You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you."

"Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things."
Philippians 4:8
"For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace." Romans 8:6"Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect."
